Events
The Open & Intermediate divisions are three flight tournaments consisting of Main and Consolation with a Last Chance flight on Sunday. Main flight losers will be
progressively entered into the Consolation flight. Last Chance pairing will be determined by public draw on Sunday morning.
These are Trophy Events.
OPEN: $250 Entry fee; 90% return. $100 Optional Side Pool; 100% return. Trophy
INTERMEDIATE: $140 Entry fee; 85% return. Trophy
NOVICE: $40 Entry fee; 80% return. Trophy
DOUBLES: $150 Entry fee per team; 85% return. Trophy
Calcutta Auction: 90% return
Master’s Jackpot: $400 Entry fee, 90%
return, 16-player limit. 11 point matches, single elimination. Trophy
Blitz: $40 Entry fee, 85% return, four player knock outs. Winner receives $50 and
advances to Sunday play-offs. Reentry OK
Hyper Backgammon: $20 Entry fee, 85% return. Single elimination 5 point matches. Doubling cube is in play. Reentry OK to a maximum of 32 players. Winner Takes ALL.
All byes will be randomly awarded.

Tournament Conditions
Prepaid entry may be refunded until the
close of Friday’s registration.
Cash only, after Fri July 3rd.
All entries are subject to review by the
tournament committee, which reserves
the right to refuse an entrant to play
below his or her level.
All tournament activities must take place
in the designated playing area.
NO SMOKING inside the Marriott.
One five-minute smoke break allowed per match.
The Director may require the use of a Bronstein
clock in any match deemed to be delaying the tournament.
The tournament schedule will be strictly adhered to. Penalty points will be awarded to opponents of
players who are late for matches, or who leave the playing area without signing out with an official.
Please Note: No food or beverages other than water, will be provided. Alcohol Beverages: By MN statute, only alcohol beverages purchased in the Marriott’s restaurant or bar, are allowed in the tournament room.
